Applying Wisdom During these Challenging Times...
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6 | NIV
*(Pray that minds and hearts, of those who are, working on a cure, setting in place protective ordinances and regulations, giving out information and news, and caring for those impacted by the virus, are open to the instruction and guidance given by God.)
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16 | NIV *(Be the light of love that is shining in your community. For by our love will men know we are children of God.)
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5 NIV *(Seek God before speaking, acting and or responding to others)
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17 | NIV *(Sharing what you have with those that are in need including, things such as food and sanitizers but also your love and kind words)
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:5-6 | NIV *(Encouraging those who are fearful and panicked that they are loved and cared about and that this too will pass)
Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice. Proverbs 13:10 NIV *(As health ministries or others share reliable health information, official government mandates and suggestions, along with biblical instruction, don’t let the spirits of deafness, dumbness or blindness cause us to refuse to receive truth.)
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13 | NIV *(Taking care for the health and wellbeing of your neighbors as you do for yourself.)
Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. Proverbs 14:29 | NIV. *(This is a new situation and much being done is trial and error, as solutions are sought. Let us walk in the fruit of the spirit as those doing the work seek to understand how to resolve this virus.)
The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin. Proverbs 10:8 | NIV *(Let us pray for those that have rule and authority over us and obey the laws of the land in regards to this pandemic; remembering to do so as unto the Lord. The power of life and death is in our tongue, don’t be foolish, speak life)
(*Italics are my words...)
“I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me (us) *what we asked of you, you. (healing for our nation)* have made known to us the dream of the king” (cure for COVID-19.)* Daniel 2:23 NIV
I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. Proverbs 24:14 NIV *(Seek God as we move through this pandemic. We have the promise that the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth and righteousness and bring to our conscious memory what we have learned in the word to help us have right thinking and right actions)
