Well, I came back to the mountain (shoveling the snow at the church); let me give you some life lessons that you can learn spiritually from the physical realm...
*When Embracing The Challenge...
1) Most “God” Challenges are bigger than you; accept that you can’t do it alone!...
2) God will “always” send you help, (sometimes different methods & sometimes different people)...thanks Elder J...
3) Don’t Ever Quit! (most likely it’s not even about you or for you) - half way through I wanted to stop shoveling, and said to myself “why am I doing this”, then I realized, it wasn’t even for me...WE need the outreach house back open one day and the process of melting this ice has to start now...
4) It May Not Feel Good, But You”ll Feel Good - my body is sore ( shoveling since 8am) but I’m glad I accomplished it! Little accomplishments in your life can carry you through!...
5) Discipline is Key! I paced myself and set my alarm for every 20 minutes to take a break. When the alarm went off “I Stopped” to rest (no need to be superhuman; the Challenge isn’t meant to Kill you, but to Train You!)...
6) To Succeed You Will Have To Break Cycles...(I usually don’t come to the church so early during the week; but I knew if I came at my regular hours, I’d get sidetracked doing something else, so I came very early)...
EMBRACE THE CHALLENGE!!!
(Now time for some ibuprofen and to go back home to bed )
Love You All,
~ Apostle Carter
